Hi There
Has anyone converted the cab roof on Italeris M923 Bigfoot to give the gunner access to the M2 mounted above it?
The same conversion could be used on other trucks as I notice AFV's M35 has the same full roof
Images of the size and shape of the hatch and cover would be really useful.
Thanks Guys.

The hard-top cab does not have a gunner's hatch. It is not usually used, nor intended to be used with the gun ring. The gun ring is usually used with the soft top cab and the top is removed to access the gun ring.
I did have an M925A2 (w/winch) tool truck in Iraq that had a hard top and my Maintenance SGT cut a square opening in the hard top and added the gun ring to it. Definitely not regulation, but it worked.
You can see on this M818 (earlier series 5 ton tractor) where they cut a square opening in the hard top like my Maint. SGT did.
