I have photos in the member's gallery, but can't seem to get a grip on how to post pix to a forum. One of the members has been trying to help me, but I think what I need is a lo-tech, step by step guide. Thanx in advance,

First question, have you tried the "Image Help" button at the top of the forum page?

O.K., I finally managed to paste the address into the thread from the gallery and posted a test. All that came through was the address and test message-no photo. What is supposed to happen after the address is pasted in, and how do I know whether the BBCODE is on or off? Thanx for your patience.

Your code should look like this (without the spaces):

[ img ]http://www.webaddress[ / img ]

Below the box where you type your text for a forum post is a row of small buttons labeled url, url=, email, b, i, quote and img. The last button, img, is the one to insert bbcode to insert photos in your post. When you click the img button you will get the img tags with the following text between them "http://put.url.here/image.file". Replace that text with the address of your photo.

Go to your gallery and click on the photo that you want. After you bring up the photo right click the photo and go down to the bottom and left click properties. Highlight the complete url address located in the middle of the information.Right click the highlighted info and click copy and then go back to the forum reply box. Type in your info about the photo if you want then left click on the (img) icon. [img]http://put image here[img] this will appear. Highlight all the text from the http to the here.put the cursor over the highlighted text and right click mouse and left click on the paste. Your photo should appear with your text in the forum you selected.

Sorry, guys. I tried 4 times. Once I got the dreaded red X, the rest turned out just like before. Animal, I could only highlight either one word or the whole address-nothing just in the middle like you said. It's probably me, and I appreciate your patience, but I sure would like to finally get this. Thanx
