I just got the Profi Modeller PROF-35011 1/35 Modern US Ammo Boxes (24pcs) in the mail. BEWARE as these are neither US or modern ammo boxes.
The bag includes...
- Bad resin copies of British 25pdr ammo and charge boxes from Bronco Models Kit No. AB3512
- Bad resin copies of Panzer Art C216 British Ammo Boxes (40mm Bofors AA Gun)
- Wood boxes … shall I go on?
Let the buyer beware. I am dissatisfied by this Profi Modeller Ammo Boxes offering and wish I'd known more before buying this.
Anyone else tried their stuff?

Regrettably there are plenty of instances of model ammo boxes being mislabelled so best to check pictures of the contents against period images before buying. Verlinden did a set of British WW2 boxes years ago and while they were nicely done, I don’t think any of them was correctly described while at least one was post-war.
It’s not necessary to know the correct designations or even purpose but if you’ve never seen a metal 105mm box in a WW2 photo, there’s at least a possibility that it wasn’t used then.
