I am currently busy with Trumpeters Rooikat and Hobbyboss Olifant MK2. While looking over images of the Olifants camo scheme, I came across 2 separate pics of what appears to be the same MK2, but with an overall light sand scheme. I can only assume that this particular MK2 may have been the first conversion prototype from a 1B to a MK2. Although the entire tank is a light sand, the barrel appears to retain the standard 1A camo pattern. Some examples of the MK1 did retain the earlier overall dark earth scheme, so I can only assume that the MK2 in question was an upgrade of one of the earlier single colour 1A's. Accurately judging colour from a photo can be notoriously deceptive. Does anyone know anything about this tank, or any info regarding hull numbers?. Furthermore, do any Tamiya acrylics match the earth colour used on SA armour. Any info would be appreciated.
