Anyone saw this yet? Was able to catch it in a premiere this evening. Blew me away, literally. I must say, to put into words the "effect" this movie had on me, basta. Watch it. If you're squeamish, have heart problems, might as well get ready. They say the violence/gore/blood is all there is to the movie, but frankly, I was literally in tears towards the movie's climax.

Watch it, please.

Watched it two weeks ago (complete...well almost coz I was not able to see the credits...damn pirated DVDs). Its realistic in a way, because the whips used in the movie were based on what was actually used during that time. Compared to other films of Mel Gibson, the film is short of two hours...or the DVD I watched is not complete....people should see it. Rated R...hmmm, I watched it with my 6 and 2 1/2 yr old daugthers and they were attentive except for the every now an then questions w/c I have to explain....

rated R due to the gore and violence... but I believe na mas violent and gory pa kung manonood ka ng local primetime news.

The pirated DVD came out c/o a Filipino staff of Gibson who he eventually sued. Grabe tlga. Hehe!

I watched the premiere with my 16 year old cousin, though I doubt in premieres they scan for age/s.

As a Christian, it makes me reflect what Jesus went through for our sake. He showed us the true meaning of love.

Mel Gibson really did his homework in making this movie. He even consulted officials from the Vatican and authorities on theology to make sure he got it right.

Ditto. Couldn't agree with you more on that. I have to admit, I was a bit low on my "practice" (of my faith), and after the movie, I wanted to rush to a church and say sorry..seriously..

Galing noh.

Nagkaru-on nga ako tuloy ng idea nung napanu-od ko iyon. Especially yung part ng "Scourging at the Pillar". Halos parehas kasi ng uniform/armor yung mga legionnaires sa movie at yung ginawa kong Roman Aquilifer na nai-post ko dito. So back to on-line shopping uli.

But before I get into it. I'd like to get your opinion.

Haven't seen it myself yet though it's being shown for sometime now. So they say 'bout the blood & gore. I decided to like watch it maybe during the holy week, Good Friday even.
