hi guys just started modeling again after a 20 year break if i upload some pics of models i,ve just made could you offer any advice???? if i can upload the pics

Pod, welcome to the site! Why not do that, you have a load of gallery space available to you as a member...use it! People will be more than happy to coment on your work....Jim

thanks jurgen ,i,ve just started work on a new iraqi war diorama featuring a m1 a2 abrahams,a humvee tow missle carrier,and a m113a2 apc with 8 infantary attacking two iraqi t55,s in a desert scence i,ll post pics when done but may take me a while i would think,many thanks for your reply

Your kits look very well built, very clean, very neat, well painted. For your first few after a hiatus you can be proud.
May I offer some areas that will really accentuate your next build. Do a bit of research (search tool in the top right of the page - or the google on the left middle) on washes and filters. They are basically thinned down dark paint that will make the details pop out and help show shadows. Filters are an 'all over' version of a wash and will help give the build a more subdude toned down 'lived in' look. Also, check out pastels. Artists chalk used for weathering.

Good work Pod, I like the idea of using a fish tank for a display case. I like your work. You may benefit from looking into weathering techniques. Washes, drybrushing, etc.

thanks guys i am intrested in finding out about washes and ageing models just not to sure about what to apply to the finished paint before applying the wash didn,t reconise any of the products suggested on the pieces i was reading on here yesterday i understand how to make the wash and what it will do just dont want to ruin me models thats all that stoped me giving it ago yesterday, i wiil continue to reasearch it as i,d love to be able to build stuff half as good as some i,ve seen in the members gallery,many thanks again and for making me feel very welcomeTHANKS
