Apologies if this is in the wrong section. Im due to fly out to Ottawa with work for a 3 months spell, and instead of sitting bored in a hotel room after work, wondered if there were any model clubs in Ottawa? As Id be interested in visiting.

Ugh to your trip, Paul. I was Diamond level member with the Hilton hotels for 5 straight years, and was flying 85K miles/year for those 5 years (without leaving the continental U.S.). The romance of travel to great cities wears off quickly when you see that city from the air when you land and takeoff. Otherwise, you are in meetings all day, go to dinner, then back to the hotel room. Rod Stewart was big into HO model trains and would take his modeling tools and parts with him to work on in his room (suite). Of course it's nice to fly by private jet when you can take those things on the airplane. I played online bridge an awful lot to keep my sanity! Best of luck on your trip...
