I cracked the plastic bag on the PzHbt2000 last night and washed the parts. Still have the LCM and M4A1 for the Overlord build. Still dragging on those two kits before I start the howitzer.

Howdy Cuhail,

I just checked out your line drawings for your Rail-based missle launcher. Is that your own concoction? If it is.......very nice. And this is going to be in 'N' gauge, is that correct?
Wow!.......that is some small stuff! You ought to think about joining one of the Warship Campaign's going on right now. You'd be a 'natural' for the 1/700th scale crowd.
God bless your eyes Cuhail, because I couldn't do it anymore.
Good on ya!

Tread.

Oh, BTW. Since you're obviously talented at the 'line drawing' thing. Why don't you (that is, if you haven't already planned to do so) make detailed & scaled drawings of the seperate piece's you use to assemble your Rail Armour. That way someone who might want to tackle it in 1/35th scale could extrapolate from your drawings and up-scale it.
Just a thought.

Nah...........forget it.

My Type 89 has been started, but work, curse it, leaves no time during the week to get anything done.
At least there's plenty of time, and hopefully I can get an article out of this build

Sorry kkeefe,

It's the Trumpeter Chinese Type 89 Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher....

but, if you'd be so inclined to provide a good suggestion, I may want to do something mortar related as a second build for the campaign....

Whew... I was hoping that it was going to be much bigger than that little door knocker of a mortar.

As soon as I finish my RMG diorama, I've got an old Tamiya M8 HMC that I would love to build for this campaign. Will it qualify? If so, count me in too.

Tread, I'd love to, but, between work and family I've got little time to work on the "project" itself.
I model 1/160 and yes, it's DAMN small, but it's all part of a basement layout I'm doing in honor of my Dad, who was an N-Scaler, and my brother Dan, who died in a M1 accident while testing and working out the bugs in 'em while in the Marines. How appropriate to put turrets on trains, Huh?
The missile launcher idea was mine, I don't find too many examples of modern military railarmor so I come up with practical ideas and work it out on the workbench. I actually am using a container car kit for the railcar and placing the launcher scratch-build in it like a container would be placed. Removable if the container car is damaged beyond field repair and placable in a new car!!! Brilliant if I do say so myself
Check my gallery to see the actual model as it progresses, the pix are there!
Thanks for the kudos, Tread!
