Hi all,
i was wondering if Squadron allow you to buy items from their website and if you are living outside of the USA?
i tried contacting their "customer care" email address but i've never had a response, so does any one have any experience of buying from them directly and who also live outside of the USA?

Well their FAQ has an international shipping section so I would guess that they would ship to the UK.
Be aware of potential VAT and courier fees for any purchase over £15 (excl postage).
Cheers,
Nigel

i couldn't find anything like that on their site, could you possibly link it for this old "betamax video man"
the tax thing can be reduced by visiting HMRC and getting the right tax code which reduces the amount of VAT you pay for items coming into the UK from outside the EU... i generally use TAX CODE: 9503003500 which needs to be printed on the green shipping document as well as the external packaging. it tells the tax boys that it's a toy/model kit and thus you pay less VAT

This is funny to read; on another forum we are discussing how most of us stopped going to Squadron because they never have anything in stock.

Just watch shipping fees, I know if you try to have something shipped to Canada, the shipping fees are very high. You are better off looking at Sprue Brothers, better prices and better shipping.

And I thought I was the only one noticing that. They always have sales/specials and whatnot but nothing I want/need is rarely in stock to take advantage of the sale. Sad since I have been a Squadron customer since the early 1970's.
Cheers
