Just a quick heads-up to buyers and sellers relying on PayPal for online transactions. Recently, I discovered three small fraudulent (identical) transactions on my account. Somehow the scoundrels managed to use PayPal’s “Send Money” feature to skim said payments from my linked debit account. I have never really liked PayPal from the very beginning. Unfortunately, and ever increasingly, PayPal has become a necessary evil to which we must subscribe in order to perform online transactions ... until we don’t.🤨
Just saying ... be diligent out there, and keep your head on a 360° swivel.

I presume that you have reported it to PayPal and requested your money back?
And changed your password of course ...

Absolutely. In addition, I immediately contacted my bank’s Fraud Department and have been issued a new debit card.

Several months ago I had my debit card skimmed at a gas pump and they drained my account. I got the money back but it took 3 weeks.

You might want to check your Internet security as well because if there is a virus on there that can log your key strokes then changing your password won't really help.
Also check your email address hasn't been logged as well, try the website "have I been pwned"

One reason why credit cards are actually more "secure" than debit cards: you can't drain a "charge" account. We've gotten to the point where our debit cards are only used locally, and anything else is on a charge card.
