This is funny and strange. i ve been modelling since my 12 which means 24 years till today .I ve always followed a rule that i ve drawed my self. Finish completely one model or project and then get another.
After being in Armorama the last few months and having "social touch" with many of you , i ve started reconsidering this theory. Partially i started crackin boxes of a new project while the other was drying, and ....yesterday evening i counted on the bench in parallel product line the following projects :

1. Churchill Crocodile - for Brit Commonwealth Group Build - painted waiting weathering
2. M1A1HA - for the Abrams Campaign - painted waiting weathering - detailing
3. M115 *inch Howitzer - for the Incoming Campaign -cracked , expected and waiting Sunday to start building
4. Roman Catapult - scratchbuild - for the incoming campaign - plans rescaling, gathering materials preparing for building
5. DUKW - for the Overlord Campaign - building
6. Verlinden 120mm US Tanker - for my self!!!! - primed waiting painting

so 6 different projects that almost everyday one of them gets its share of touch and they are altogether improving well. i could not imagine it some years before. Also if you take a notice 5 out of 6 items have to do with Armorama Campaigns. Its a clear proof to me that sharing the hobby and having things in common , gives you a production motive. And of course i wont do a compromise in quality in order to finish them allquickly. On the contrary . From the time i am a member here, most of my skills have improved, and i also am using stuff and techniques that i was not using before.

So i want to thank Armorama staff and all the guys - members here for inspiring me to deal so deep in the hobby again after a big laze period, and also that i am very glad to be a member in this community. i dont know if this self confession is a lil for the forum but last night touching at almost same time 3 projects and giving solutions, i felt the need to do it so i did.
And closing this a lil question could be putted here.
How many projects you build at the same time but with a finishing view ?(i mean not to start something and leave it half done for a decade!!)

Thanks buddies
Costas

Tazz as i told before for almost 23 -24 years i was working only one item at a time. But then i saw time passing and so many models waiting for me. So inspired from guys here i started working (without even realising it ) on more projects and then add one more till a couple of days before i count them !! thats all it happens..Armorama Virus ? #:-)

I have noticed that you need some inspiration to build, you need someone else than your Mom/Wife to see what you are doing.

If you consider that i was building 23 years before Armorama, the problem was not inspiration to build, but inspiration to build multiple items together!!!

Hi all, I suffer from what I think someone here called MADS (Modellers attention deficit syndrome)
I started building when I was 8 or 9, a few cars, 7 or 8 planes and couple of tanks. Then the teen years hit, no time for modelling then. Started back in 1987 and haven't finished one model yet.
I have a Panzer lV D from 1987 about 85% complete,
Stuka, kubelwagen and kettenkrad from 1988 80% complete,
Panther and Marder 3 H from 1989 75% complete,
Brummbar from 2001 35% complete,
T34-85 from 2003 25% complete,
1/72 Elefant 80% complete
JSU122 from this year 25% complete,
A 1/144 ME110 almost done.
3 Pegaso figures in various stages, numerous 1/35 figures also in various stages of completion. A Marvel Comics Punisher figure never completed. A diorama I never completed for the Coverup campaign, and finally what I've been working on lately, Steyr 1500. I have 2 sons, one is like me, he can't finish a model for anything, the other son slaps it together in a day or two, I try to slow him down but he's just to excited to see the finished product. I do want to say that this is an absolutely wonderful site, very inspirational, I love seeing everybodies work, and gathering all the great info available here. So to answer Major Goose's question, I don't know if I'll ever finish one, or if I'll just end up with 200 kits in various stages.

LOL,
I use to be the same way goose, then I found this site.
I use to NEVER finish anything, then I found this site.
The campaigns so far this year have also expnaded my scope of work and interests. Yes I'm building part of a ship and will probably do some Arty as well.... whoda thunk it?

To resume the conversation the living proff of finishing motivation. The Churchille Crocodile is finished , The Abrams is at 90 % and finishing next days , the Howitzer building well and calmly , Verlinden figure is improving and things flow. Who says that if you nuild several items at a time you dont finish them. More of this yoy dont get bored !!!!!!
p.s. should i start this 120 mm PiliPili mountain man not to lower my standard number !!!!

I have two on the bench now. A DML Stug III Ausf A with Eduard photo etch. This is my first with photo etch, so I am taking my time.
I have just begun my M-12 155mm Gun Motor Carriage for the Incomming campaign. I will start on my Leopold sometime in the month. I try not to have more than two projects going at the same time.
