How would I go about making making shells and (specifically) torpedoes (S-100 Schnellboot) look shiny? You know, polished? Thanks for your time.

Best technique would be Metalizer paint. You put it on , let it dry, then buff it up to a high shine. It representd metal well. There are many brands, but I like the Testor's Model Master brand.
