KING KONG????

I was reading that Jackson is planning to leave Middle Earth and do another remake of the big monkey and the girl. ARRRGGGHHH! I was hoping the Hobbit would have been next.

I was hoping that also, he could make 100 movies on Tolkien's work, all the stories in the Silmarillion etc. #:-)

Yeah, but King Kong was the film that inspired him to get into film making and his first love. This is one of the projects that he always wanted to do.

While Peter Jackson might want to do film THE HOBBIT there are serious problems with who holds the rights. At least two corporate entities have some form of copyright on the story.

Now,. PJ remaking KONG! EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD! in his wonderful style sounds promising so we can wash Jessica Lange as Fay Wray and the WTC as the Empire State Building from our collective memories.
