Has anyone heard anything on the sale of Revell/Monogram, Revell of Germany or Estes?

Estes received successful bids the day of the sale but I don't know who bought it. Both Revells received bids but not enough for an immediate sale and I think that is currently being sorted through. They did get offers, which is good.

According to Michael Benolkin over at Cybermodeler On Line, Hobbico went on sale last week. Estes LLC bought Estes, Horizon bought the RC portions of Hobbico (Not the Horizon Models who make the excellent 1/72 spacecraft line), but the Revell USA and Revell Germany auctions have been put off. Hobbico was also the primary importer/distributor for Hasegawa and Italeri, and according to Michael delays in new releases to the USA are expected. He doesn’t say anything about “not enough bids/reasonable offers”. In US Bankruptcy law, asserts are usually sold to the highest bidder, regardless of offers, but If there weren’t enough “reasonable offers” that usually doesn’t bode well for the company being sold. Let’s hope that’s not the case, or as Mr. Benolkin surmises, Revell kits may become collectors items.

The sale of all of Revell would happen on April 10 2018 according to the court documents; until then, it's all speculation about what a post-Hobbico world means for the company.
