Allright fellow enthusiasts, I want to take a little poll, just for fun. Which manufacturer(only one, please) is you prefered styrene pusher? I have to go, with Trumpeter/HobbyBoss. They have high quality plastic. The instructions are normally easy to follow. They produce a plethora of available subjects. Accuracy is arguable. How about you?

I really can't vote,I don't have a favorite,it depends on what i'm building or looking to build.Just going by the completed builds that I have on hand,I have more Dragon then anything else followed by Tamiya then Hasegawa

Flyhawk was, but they have declined a little because they are putting out models that have already been done ie Bismarck and P-o-W rather than wanted and undone ships as they did with the Lutzow etc.

I don't have a favorite. i sure do not mind kits that take elbow grease to complete, so I rarely complain about a manufacturer. i am not a fan of LARGE price tags on a model, that would be my only gripe withe the latest , greatest releases. Other than that most kits are fine by me.

If I had to choose just one name, it would be Dragon.

They have an amazingly large catalog on the subject I like (German WWII armour), most of them of good to excellent quality and often with photo etch, metal barrels or individual track links -at least for the old kits.

Maybe someday Takom, Meng, RFM or Thunder Models will offer a similar range, but for now they do not so hence my choice.

And yes, I am aware of the instructions with mistakes, some poor quality models and DS tracks but even counting with that I think they have many many great kits.

I agree with Robin. It is based more on the kit I want rather than the manufacturer. Price is also a big factor as I model under a budget.

To build would be Tamiya. For level of detail, it varies.

Whatever gives me a hassle free build with as little stress as possible.

As my eyesight has deteriorated detail just isn't important anymore. I hate having to shim or file every piece, or have a 20 piece assembly when 2 would have been sufficient.

If I went with pure numbers in the stash, the leader would be Historex, as for numbers built it'd be Airfix. But every company has their good and bad. It's really a kit by kit basis.

I even found myself liking an Alan kit once and there is a definite satisfaction to having wrestled with a kit and won.

Tamiya. Good level of detail. Easy assembly. Not needlessly complicated.
