Some advice on the finish of USN helicopters please. Does the USN SH-2G have a gloss, semi gloss or matt finish.

I would say semi-gloss

even if there is also this:

Even if it was a matte finish in 1:1 scale a model would need
to be satin/semi-gloss to give the same impression.
The gloss finish would also get worn/polished to a semi-gloss surface.
