Hi all,

Although some may get after me for gross inaccuracies and playing 'fast-and-loose' with facts, I have decided to build an 'Alternate Universe' Wehrmacht with major changes in history, events and timelines.

1. Basing what I read in alternate history books, changes were made in how the events of WW2 happened.

2. The US was purposely kept neutral by Germany and the Axis.

3. The Russian Civil War lasted until 1935 with major battles taking place in the Ukraine wrecking the Soviet Army in many ways. (Many Ukrainian exiles moved to eastern parts of Germany and were accepted for duty in the Wehrmacht.)

4. Poland was not re-instituted in 1920.

5. Hitler was an Imperial Volksoffizier who won renown as a U-Boat commander in WW1. Also, he was not anti-semetic, won the Pour le Merite, and designed a modern Kriegsmarine utilizing aircraft carriers and U-Boats as its base. He was also part of a Triumvirate with Doernitz and Raeder. (Based on a chapter in a book of an author whose name I cannot remember right now, I will credit it when I find it...)

6. Germany designed and used the A-Bomb first.

7. England fell as it was attacked the same time as France. (A-Bomb not used here.)

There are many more fun things that I am adding to the mix as I have already constituted new-type Panzer and Infantry Divisions.

Remember, this is Alternate Universe and I am strictly doing this for fun.

THERE IS VERY LITTLE REALITY USED HERE, SO BE ADVISED!

I have a complete Panzer Division finished as I would have done it if the Germans had the men and proper equipment. If you would like to see what I have done, I would be willing to show off my work. (Based around a 1944 Division.)

I did use the KStN charts as a basis for my project thanks to the now-defunct "Sturmpanzer.com" website.

I have named sources in the previous paragraph and will acknowledge anyone if forgotten. In addition, I seek no profit from this piece of fiction and do this only for fun.

Hi,

I finished work on the Panzer Division. Completed Gliederung and Personnel charts as well.

Just about finished with both the Infantry and Panzergrenadier Divisions.

I have also started the 1944 and Volksgrenadier Divisions as well.

Waffen-SS Divisions start soon.

I have found working with Alternate Universe versions of WW2 history to be both challenging and fun.

Would you please post some photos? Just want to make sure you aren't building a 1:1 star destroyer.

Having a bunch of Buccaneers in my stash (Airfix and ex-matchbox), I have toyed with the idea of building a couple in alternative Falklands colours. Imagining that Ark Royal and Eagle had not been decommissioned, they played a huge role in hitting Argentine air and naval bases making low-level strikes with Martel and Paveway. And with the new Airfix Phantom on the market, I could also build their air cover.
