AMPS members,

Please take a few moments to read the message below and consider participating, whether it's nominating a friend from the local chapter or self-nomination to one of the positions identified in this message.

Thanks,

With the arrival of the New Year, it is election time for the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society. We will open the nomination period on 16 January and close on 28 February. The Election window will open on 1 March and close on 30 March. This year, the 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President - Canada, 2nd Vice President - South, 2nd Vice President - Northwest, and Membership Secretary positions are up for election. Per the AMPS Constitution and Bylaws, all nominees/potential officers will be paid up members in good standing with the Society and must remain so during their tenure in office. More information on eligibility of members to become Society officers can be found in the AMPs Constitution and Bylaws (http://amps-armor.org/SiteMain/AMPSBylaws.aspx)

All AMPS members in good standing are encouraged to vote. Members can nominate potential officers via the AMPS Discussion Group on the AMPS webpage (http://amps-armor.org/SiteMain/Main.aspx) with a message. All nominations will require a seconding by another AMPS member. If there are any questions to concerning the election or the nomination process, please feel free to contact me via the “Contact the AMPS Executive Board” (http://amps-armor.org/SiteMain/AboutAMPS.aspx#Executive) on the AMPS Homepage.

Begin considering who might make a good officer to represent you and get ready to nominate or second them. Keep this in mind: in 2017, less than 10% of the Society members voted in the AMPS election. Perhaps we could have a better turn out in 2018.
