I have been trying for several months now to get the Academy machine gun set. Great Models and Roll both listed it, but then when my order arrives...it's been cancelled. Does anyone HONESTLY have it?
I'm starting to have issues with these big mail order companies. It's bad enough they take weeks to get your order to you, and even more disappointing when a large portion of what you order never shows up. It's getting quite clear that Squadron is the place to go. They tell you on the spot if they're out of stock, and I get my order usually 2 days after I place it.

have you tried to acquire the Dragon Modern Infantry Fire Support Weapons set?
lots of nice weapons in there. just another idea for you, if you still have no luck locating the academy set

If you don't mind ordering from the Uk give Cove Models a ring on (+44) 01252 544532. Thats where I got my set from and they had at least one more on the shelf.

I my LHS carries Academy Machine Gun sets. There was a set that had ground and tank mounted .30 cals, .50 cals (at least one was field stripped), not sure what else it had in it.

What machine gun are you looking for? Perhaps one of us has a spare.

Howdy Blaster,

I live in Colorado, even though we can't stand Texas drivers in our state ( ), I will forego the requisite Italian 'negative' mojo, and check tomorrow at Colpars, and if they have it I will pick it up for you!
If that sounds O.K., great!.....if not, please tell me.

Tread.

I've had the same problem trying to get the Academy US Machine gun kit. My LHS has had it on order for three months now.

Not sure what the problem is, thier distributor keeps telling them that it is on back order.

I also got my set at military hobbies about a month ago, it is always quick(mb less so to the states) and Dave the owner is always on top of his inventory and has free shipping on orders of 50$. Plus he has been a long time advertiser and supporter of the site.
