I am trying to do a dio of Capt. Hornby during the !st cavalry engagement of W.W.1 and need to know if the road just south of the Belgian town of Casteau was dirt or cobble stone during that time. Or if the first engagement was at the town of Obourg, which leaves me in a slight dilemma, Both reff. I have state that each town was the 1st engagement of cavalry in W.W.1. Googling has left me baffled and the pic's I have come across are to high to tell. Any help with the question would be helpful even the surrounding countryside. Also if it was tree lined and or what type of trees would be helpful. Thanks in advance to anyone reading and or responding to this question, Bob D.
