Anyone else having this problem? I created a new album (for a blog I'll be starting), uploaded five images (named "M4A3_001" to 005), and while 001 & 002 are ok, the other three have a mysterious "1" added to their names! (Thus "M4A3_003" is now showing as "M4A3_0031") Can't see why this is happening to some, but not all, of the images...

Check the number of the uploaded images against the number on your system and is the number you intended and not the one assigned by the system.

The only scenario I can see that happening would be if there is already an image with that number in the album you created for them. Or if you are uploading them to your general upload area.
Otherwise no I don't think our system touches file names.
Cheers,
Jim

I'll have to play with renaming when I get back onto my main computer, but the album was virgin thus had no previous photos in it at all as far as I can tell. Unless they have to be unique for my whole Gallery? Curiouser and curiouser...
[EDIT: Just checked - no files named "M4A3_???" anywhere else in my Gallery. Hmmm.]

I have experienced the same thing, and drew the same conclusion as Jim. My best guess is that when I clean out my SD card the camera starts recycling filenames, which means I probably have a duplicate filename somewhere in the gallery already.

Well, I copied the pics to a new folder on my pc, added "ACAD_" to the front of each filename, and they uploaded without a hitch. I expect this means somewhere in the "memory" of filenames I have used in the past in my Gallery, there were other "M4A3_003" etc already used and presumably deleted (as I don't have any now). Weird...
