Well as I went in 1975 we had Vulcan's on M-113's called the M-163.
Now please tell me that they were also in Nam.
I remember of hearing stories on them coming on line and smoking VC.
Now if this is just a myth, well I am doing a Nam one anyway.

So what is the back date of the kit?

I could only get the Italeri one .

But will use the Tamiya M-113 as the base kit, should be the same.

Thanks.

Some were sent to RVN - six, I think. There are photos in several books but they did not have the radar fitted.

The M-42 Duster was used in VN early on, but later there were M163 units there as well. One of my bosses when I was assigned to Hawaii 1988-91 was a Section Leader in an M-163 Battery when he was in Vietnam.

What I wanted to hear Russ thanks.

When I was in Korea at Pelham a few NCO's that were in Nam said they were, and we had a company across the road, some bad dudes that gun.

Thanks also Robert from the UK, have a friend that lives in Kent will be coming over again this year for a visit.
Used to do 1/6 scale stuff he did, and 1/8 scale, 1/9 scale, actually had a company that he and DD did also.
You must of heard of him.

Well there are a few million people in the UK and Kent is a couple of hours' drive from here, so I won't necessarily know him. A name might help 😉

Having said that, at Quantico I once bumped into a bloke from Perth in Australia and he turned out to know one of the only two people from Perth that I knew at that time.
