I recently started this kit, put it away I've gone to start again and the chassis has twisted. Anyone advise as to straightening the chassis out again please

Which kit is it? Is it the Miniman Factory resin one or Trumpeter's plastic one? In either case, dipping it into boiling water for a few seconds, then holding it flat while it cools should do the trick. If it is resin, it may take a few times to get it right.

Hi its the Trumpeter kit. How many times can you do this before the plastic becomes to brittle

The hot water will not make the plastic brittle at all. It will soften it so you can twist it back square and level. Once it cools, it will hold the new position.
