Alright, ground pounding armor modelers, now it's time to set your GPS or paper map and compass (for you old schoolers) for the next AMPS International Show location. The AMPS 2018 show will be held in Dayton, Ohio from May 3-5, 2018.
This year's theme is: Mishaps or "Aw &*^@" Vehicles finding themselves in awkward or unique situations. Please note: Within the next few weeks, AMPS Chief Judge, Mike Petty will provide a more complete description regarding the show theme and what qualifies on the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org).
Show location: The show will be held at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, 10823 Chidlaw Road, Dayton, Ohio 45433. The 2018 Show team advised that you can now book your hotel room at the AMPS show rate of 99.00 per night and that includes a free hot buffet breakfast. To get this room rate, you must call the hotel at 800-491-6126 and (937) 879-2696 (local) and ask for the AMPS 2018 show rate. No on-line reservations will be accepted to receive the AMPS show rate.
Local attraction: Just about five minutes down the street is the National Museum of the United States Air Force which is sure to please, even the die-hard armor ground pounder. The museum's address is 1100 Spaatz Street, Dayton, Ohio 45433. Check out their website at: www.nationalmuseum.af.mil and see what awaits you while attending the AMPS 2018 International show.
