Hey,

Watching Youtube today, I stumbled upon a guy showcasing a build yourself laser cutter made from a kit which is supposedly able to cut thru several materials and thicknesses from paper to MDF boards.

I was wondering if any of you guys tried such a piece already? With prices starting around 100 EUR/USD it is not _that_ much more expensive than two better kits.

Thanks!

Sorry, Tom, Auric Goldfinger didn't have a cat...although he did have a [fill in the first name of a female pilot with last name Galore].

Never seen a home laser cutter but my neighbor, who is into 3d printing is building a custom 3d printer but instead of printing in plastic it will have a milling head. It's supposed to be able to mill thru plastic and MDF. It's wild what people are building today.

The idea with a milling head is not a bad one, actually! If you can get the head to move slow enough, it might even work.

Keep us posted on the progress, if you and your neighbor don't mind

Thanks!
