I have some old Floquil products that I got along with some HO trainsets a long time ago, and I can still see the RR1 and I think it says DIO- somthing, maybe SOE but I'm not sure would anybody know what this is, and I can read the RR3 Hi- Gloss, does that mean it is a clear gloss coat and another one I got, I can't read the front part but it looks like it has SOA on the end, and I can't even read the number, but if anybody is familiar with this and could help me figure out what I got, so I'll know whether or not to throw it away or keep it. I thank You in advance Kerry

First most likely Diosol the thinner for Floquil paint.
I have many a jar of this paint it is strong and the only thinner that works with it is Diosol.

best thing is to not use it!
It can attack plastic if applied to heavy their is a barrier coat that they make that goes on first, same folks that make Polly scale paints!

I found out the hard way, when I opened it, it smelled like a thinner, and it cleaned a brush I had, and sense I had a little on a rag, I tried to wipe a little on my model car, and you are rite, it marred the finish, so I knew it wasn't for models, so that made me ask just what it was for. I put tape around it and wrote on it do not use on models, DANGER, and this other one I have I think it says rust, did they make a rust?

I'm not sure but didn't they stop making these paints, and another question, this one bottle all the letters and numbers are gone except on the last I can see -SOA I believe that is what it says, would you have any idea what that is, I know it cleans brushes to, but I wondered if it had another purpose?Oh and thank you Sgtreef for your answer, and I was hoping sense you owned some of these paints you might know about this -SOA on the end, the RR and number is just black marks now.

No they still make them Good paint if you shot with an airbrush will stick like mad to brass
Made for Model Railroaders to shoot those Big buck Shay's and other brass pieces.
It is good if you apply light coats!
Was thinking of trying it out on some cheap kit to see what it would do!

But remember that paint is strong stuff and will knock your socks off only outside or a good paint booth for it!!

On the SoA don't know they use to have 3 little letters to the left of the label don't know what they mean by them!
