Yikes!!! It's less than 30 days before armor modelers and enthusiasts from around the US and world, converge on Danbury, CT for the AMPS 2017 International Show, April 20 - 22, 2017 to take part in the largest, most exciting, armor-adrenaline gathering of armor modelers and enthusiasts this year. Now's not the time to start building another entry, unless you are super fast and got a lot of energy to burn. But now is a great time to pre-register for the show and save time and make your show experience a little less dramatic by having all your registration forms done before you get the show. And that means more time to check out the vendors. Visit the AMPS homepage at amps-armor.org to pre-register and get all the up-to-date and late breaking show details.
While you are at the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org), don't forget to:
- check out the schedule of seminar topics and speakers
- review the list of vendors attending the show and get your shopping list squared away
- sign up for a judging shift or two (Note: If you sign up for two judging shifts, you get a free AMPS Show Crew tee shirt.)
- take some time to visit the Military Museum of Southern New England homepage at: http://www.usmilitarymuseum.org/. This museum is located a few short miles from the AMPS show site and will be open for display. You will have a great opportunity to take plenty of pics over 45 vehicles, artillery and support vehicles and climb on and around some of the displays. Visit their homepage to see what vehicles they've got in the collection and make plans to visit over the AMPS show weekend.
And remember: AMPS online show pre-registration ends April 13th.
After all that excitement of filling out your pre-registration, take some time to review your vast stash holdings and consider donating any kits to the AMPS raffle you now tell yourself you will probably never build. Who knows; maybe someone who wins that in the raffle and actually build a show winner!
