Hi,
I am using metal & brass PE for the first time to add details to my Tiger 1 project. Is it preferable to burnish these parts? Paint them? Or Both?
What type of primer should I be using on metal parts?
What is a good product for burnishing?
Thanks in advance

Self etching primer is the way to go. You can find it in Wal-Mart's auto dep or any automotive store. I use fine steel wool to burnish. I tried a fiberglass pen, but was unhappy with the result. My basic tools include: 30watt soldering iron; soldering paste(liquid solder in a tube); fine steel wool; liquid flux; a hard tile to solder on; self-etching primer; flat head tweezers; and tweezers. I used ca glue and a sheet of glass, when I first started. It allows a little more grace.

Thanks for the advice.
Do you prefer the self echoing primer vs the burnishing process for PE brass and metal?
