I have great pleasure in announcing the tie up with our club show next year and Figureworld West, on 19th March 2017, at Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, Blurton, Staffs, ST3 3JD.

Here is the post from Figureworld on FB:

"Yes...... Now then....... Indeed...... Two FigureWorld's next year !
Of course there will be the usual show held in Oundle on the 29th July, but there will also be an earlier show in a location that allows easier access for those living in the west of Britain. This will be in Blurton, near Stoke-on-Trent.

Robin Snelson had an idea some time ago about moving FigureWorld around the country to see if it might encourage those who find it difficult to travel to Oundle to come to the show. With that in mind, we've been chatting to the guys at the Stoke On Trent Model Club and will integrate a smaller version of FigureWorld within their show next March. The Sir Stanley Matthews
Academy is just four miles off junction 15 of the M6 motorway, so it's easy to find and has plenty of parking.

FigureWorld West will take the same format with a focus of displays of figure models, some figure based traders and plenty of chance to talk.
Whilst FigureWorld doesn't have competitions, there will be a competition running within the main show and overseen by the Stoke Model Club.

Hopefully we'll get a lot of support from everyone, so please put this in your diaries for next year.
best wishes to you The FigureWorld Team"

I am also pleased to announce that Steve Crisp (Dark Star Miniatures) has agreed to run an "airbrushing for figures" masterclass at the Stoke on Trent Model Show/ Figureworld West. Places for this will be strictly limited to allow participants to get the full benefit of Steve's time and expertise. The cost of the session is £30 per person and will include a unique figure sculpted by Steve especially for the show. This figure will not be available elsewhere.

The session will run over a few hours during the show and we hope to video it for our Facebook page and website. All places will allocated on a first come, first served basis.

A booking form will be available on the show flyers at shows that we attend throughout next year, but if anyone is interested in securing a place, please PM me here.

Kind regards Gaz
