How do most modellers purchase over the internet now days? Bulk buy whenever Lucky Models has their sales or $2 shipping or buy kits individually?
The past 15 years or so I mainly buy multiple kits (between 5 to 10 every few years) whenever Lucky Models has their discounts. But the past year and half I bought individual old Tamiya and Hasegawa armour and airplane kits from Amazon vendors (from Japan) for between roughly CAD22 to CAD33.00- shipping included (Some of the prices on Amazon listing are totally out of wack- like over $100 or several $100s for a kit).
I have never bought from Ebay. Is it cheaper to get kits indivually from Ebay? For example the Tiger Models BMPT-72 is USD54.00 from china that price includes shipping.

There is no general answer to that question.
When I write about price/cost below I refer to kit + shipping.
1. It depends on which kit I am buying, sometimes someone on ebay is selling it cheaper than my favourite vendor.
2. Sometimes my favourite vendor is cheaper or is having a discount.
3. My favourite vendor has shipping for free when I buy for more than 200 Euros or something -> purchase fewer times per year
4. Some kits are hard to find except on ebay.
It all depends on what I am trying to get hold of ...

Bulk is almost always cheaper, but what I buy, how much, and when depends on what I want/need, if it on sale, and the actual cost of shipping. Free shipping means that I want to hit the minimum total to get the free shipping. Squadron & ScaleHobbyist both have maximum shipping costs (within US) of $9.99, so I'm going to order as much as possible if I get near that level.
Both eBay and Amazon can be hit or miss with both prices & shipping costs.
