Hi. For a modeller on a tight budget which 1/35 King Tiger kit would you recommend? The old Tamiya ones? Thanks for the advice.

Probably,Google reviews for the Tamiya kits, maybe Zvezda might work for you.

I've only built the Dragon kits myself.

Takom has some new ones out,not sure how they price.

The Tamiya is pretty solid for a budget KT. Fairly well detailed and comes with rubberband tracks which I found were a tad too tight.

But I think you should wait out for the upcoming Meng kit. Its about 25 USD on Hobbyeasy (almost the same price as the Tamiya one when I bought it) and looks pretty nice plus you can pay extra for optional workable tracks and interior if you so desire.

The older Tamiya and Dragon ones can be had for as little as $25 on ebay and Amazon etc.
