Dented and Dinged Kits
We have added several more dented box kits to our site at deep discounts. Check them out and order soon before they are gone. Some of these kits we have pulled from the dark corners of our warehouse so many are rare and hard to find otherwise.

I placed two items in my basket totaling 72 dollars..... when I calculated shipping, the CHEAPEST method from california to Massachusetts was 55 dollars....... I have NEVER seen such expensive shipping within the US... order cancelled.

Shipping is crazy!!
You folks at merit may want to double check your algorithms in the cart.
Priority Mail for an AFV club F-5F kit should not be $47!!
Even the large "flat rate" box, which would be a rip off for this kit, is only $18.75 retail.
yeah, check that shopping cart software...something isnt right.

Hahahah...
slick...
I just added the "non scratch and dent" item to the cart, and lo and behold, shipping is normal. ($13.00 priority mail).
real slick folks...So I better find a friend to stop by the store in person and send it to me vs paying the Ebayish shipping mark up for the "deal".

We apologize for the error. The size of the box for the M198 was incorrectly entered which led to inflating the shipping cost. We have corrected the error. For future reference, when we pack an order we double check the rates and in the event that our price was higher than the actual cost, we adjust the total of the order. If an order is paid via PayPal, we refund the difference and inform the customer. This is a rare occasion, but it is always easily corrected.

Which item? It seems there are a few errors in the sizing of the items. Again, if this happens, you are free to email us and question the shipping rates. We are going through the items at the moment to verify their dimensions. And again, when we pack the item, we get the rates verified by the size of the actual shipping container and will always inform the customer of any discrepancy. We never charge a credit card until the final shipping cost is determined. If payment is made through PayPal, we refund the difference after notifying the customer. Happy Modeling!

I tried both AFV F-5 kits you have listed (VFC-111 F-5E and the USAF F-5F)
In both cases, the full price items did just fine, but the scratch/dent item had the high shipping costs.
Good to know about the check at the end and possible refund.
Thanks for the clarification.

I tried the same thing.. ordered one kit at a cost of 25 dollars, and the cheapest shipping option was 18 dollars.... Ill stay with the east coast warehouses since Im on the east coast and shipping its usually under 10 dollars.

My guess is that their shipping calculator is the same one used on the wholesale side and it "thinks" you are buying a case lot of kits.
