I need to make some stone bricks (large) to add my diorama which is viewable in my gallery (comments have been added in the rivet review board forum).

Any ideas on how to make this would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Doing them with plaster is quite easy. If you make a wodden, plasticard or silicon mould of the right bicks thickness and pour in it the plaster is quite easy and quick once dried to cut them to size with a razor saw or a sharp knife. Using the same materials (but the silicon mould) it's easy to make a mould for individual bricks...

Take a look at this.. It might help out.. you can adjust the size depending on the styrene used and spacing.. hope it helps.

Depending on the size of bricks you need.. craft stores usually carry paper punches
that punch a rectangular shape.. they work well on thick flexifoam- also carried at
craft stores.. you may be limited on the size and thickness of the bricks, but if the
foam and punch match your dimensions you can make a lot of them fast and cheap.
Punch them out,mix them in a bowl with a slurry of thinned paint, remove and let dry..
Pics of my Bren and this style of bricks in my gallery if it helps... I want to do another
Bren in the future with more detail,, so ill be watching and enjoying your progress..
Keep up the great work!! chris

get a narrow strip of balsa wood(the demensions vary so much there is bound to be a size with the correct height and depth that all you need is the length decided) then mark off the length.. like every inch or so depending on your dio. then get a mider/mitor box.. dunno the spelling. make bricks to your hearts desire and if you feel like going the extra mile use some 300grit sand paper to knock off the corners. this is just an idea i had and i plan on trying it soon. if you do try it then pm me and tell me how it went. good luck
