I play the bagpipes and love it!! This takes a fair bit of time as daily practice is required to
improve and maintain one's ability. I play in a local pipeband as well as being available
for solo gigs. I've been involved with music for all of my life (save the first 2 or 3 years) and I think I would feel quite empty if I ever gave it up.

During the warmer months I spend my weekends in the mountains hiking, rock climbing and back packing. My girlfriend shares my passion for the outdoors which is good because we live 45 minutes away from the foot of the Canadian rockies (heaven). We often run out to the mountains for a hike or a day at the crags and we try to get out backpacking several times during the summer.

I tend not to get a lot of modelling done in the summer because my evenings and weekends are usually spoken for by piping or hiking or climbing. I used to ice climb but I haven't done much in the last few years. As well, avalanche conditions have been pretty hairy around here for the last few winters and I have no strong urge to get swept off a route by a wall of falling snow and ice!! Hence this leaves plenty of spare time in the winter for getting busy with plastic!!

Lastly, I collect camoflage uniforms and personal load carriage equipment. I have been focusing on modern British, Canadian and Australian gear but I may have to start grabbing
some Swedish kit. I find that unless one has loads of disposable income at hand it is necessary to limit one's collection in either scope (ie. just collect jackets) or nationality. This hobby fits in quite nicely with modelling as I tend to build subjects from the same nations for which I collect camo. Hence I have a common base of reference materials for both hobbies.

Cactus! I like growing and collecting them. Propagation is tricky and challenging.

I heard about this one lady in Florida, I think it was too, who liked to collect and care for cactuses, and one day one of here cacti (probably imported from mexico or somewhere like that), exploded and out came hundreds of terantulas.....YIKES

I build Nascar models and a few military kits. I also model n-scale trains. In my spare time I play soccer and ride my road bike (pedal type). I also do a little reading and research on the American Civil War in Georgia.

I usually also play soccer... ( I'm portuguese, and soccer is our national sport... Go FIGO!)... but with no doubt I spend most of my time with my girlfriend...
