This is kind of current events and kind of historical. I was watching West Wing tonight and they mentioned the "Nuclear Club" that group of nations that openly had nuclear weapons. I missed if they said, "the other six nations", meaning six nations plus the US, or "the six nations" six nations including the US. I'm thinking it was the other six nations and that they would be UK, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, and France. Are those the six nations other than the US that openly have nuclear weapons or do you substitute Israel for France or what?

US, Russia, GB, France, China, and Isreal. I might be wrong.

Yeah, India, and Pakistan, have they recently became Nuclear capable as well?

im fairly sure that the six it refers to are the Great Britain, Russia, China, France, India and Pakistan.

before india and pakistan developed nukes, the main nuclear powers were refered to as the 'big five', that was Great Britain, the USA, USSR/russia, China and France.

im not sure if israel is even officially nuclear armed,

cheers

The major powers -- US, GB, France, China and Russia along with India and Pakistan form the current nuclear powers. North Korea, Israel, Iran and South Africa either have or had nuclear programs. None of the aforementioned countries openly admit to having a nuclear weapon let alone a delivery system for the weapon. This is does not mean they do not possess the capability.
