A new biplane "flat" wire rigging?

Here's a question for the group-- have any of you used "RIO Slickshooter" 25lb test fly fishing line to simulate "flat" or RAF rigging on 1/32 WWI or interwar aircraft? I saw an obscure reference to this on Large Scale Planes forum, so I went to my local fly fishing shop and ordered some ($15 a pop for 115 yards). They didn't have 25lb test on the shelf, but I did get to examine some 35lb test-- it's aerodynamically oval and flat monofilament, the 35lb test I saw would probably work for 1/32 scale, but I'm hoping the 25lb test is just a wee bit finer-- it's the smallest size RIO makes. This stuff is used to aerodynamically increase distance in fly fishing-- but is similar in look to RAF flat rigging in 1/32 scale. It's likely too large for 1/72 or 1/48 though, and I don't think they make it smaller than 25lb test.
