Good day, ladies and gents!
I'll be leaving for Japan shortly, and am looking forward to a kit spending spree in Tokyo!
I'm mainly interested in 1/48 Cold War and Modern military aircraft subjects. Any recommendations on purchases would be deeply appreciated!

Ooh nice. I was eyeing the MiG-31 myself too!
Are there any beginner friendly stuff to look out for too? I'm a bit of a novice.

I would also add the Hasegawa F-22 Raptor a very well engineered kit.
The Mig 29 went together well,I have the 31 on order, but the reviews extol its buildability, and those F-18's build up real nice.
Not sure about other stuff, but I always Revell and Monogram are less complicated builds, but not sure what they have.

I looked up the above subjects, and am pretty keen on either the AMK Mig-31 or the 'Farewell USA' version of the GWH Mig-29
I'm also looking at the 1/48 eduard mig-21 mf or R variants (both profipack and weekend editions) as well as the 1/72 eduard dual combo mig-15bis, and maybe the Heller etendard kits.
Are any of those kits worth an attempt for a beginner?

Hi,in Japan you really should be looking at the Japanese kits.
Hong Kong would be a better place to look for GWH,AMK and some of the European brands. Prices are much better there.
