I'm new to the forum, forgive me if the following has already been posted!

I gave up plastic modelling about 40 years ago in favour of making flying scale models. That I still do, but I've decided to get back into plastic modelling with the Revell AEW 2 Shackleton.

I bought the kit and the recommended Revell paints.

The first issue I have is that the paint marked as 371 light grey silk matt is transparent. It won't even cover the grey of the plastic, even after two coats. It's also partially rejected by the model, bubbling into separate puddles in some places. I'd appreciate any advice you can give on this one.

The second is finding the part H192 marked in stage 8 of the construction. Two of the parts are marked in the instruction, but there is only one on the sprue. I have a strong feeling it's been misrepresented as part no G156, but confirmation from anyone who's built the model would be appreciated.
