I have the Elite Model SdAnh 115 trailer and the main platform is bowed and twisted. I have dipped it in almost boiling water and quickly clamped it down, but still resumes the bowed and twisted shape when removing the clamps. Any ideas? Really don't want to scratch build the platform.
Thanks

As far as I know this is the best method... Maybe you should leave it in hot water a bit more, or wait longer before removing the clamps. Or use a hairdryer while clamped and let cool.
I have seen a guy correcting a missile by making a mold of it with silicone, twisting it to correct the shape and casting a new part. But this is a rather extreme solution...

Sam,
You may have to repeat the process a number of times.
Just finished straightening a twisted Opel Blitz resin frame
and it needed 6 dipping and twisting before I got
it straight.
Cheers,
Joe
