Folks,
I received a sad call today from Emil Minerich, owner of Skyway Models in Seattle. His wife Karen passed away on Wednesday, May 25th 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Karen and Emil have been married nearly 30 years, and she was an instrumental part of the business, a truly supportive wife who frequently could be found alongside Emil running the shop. Characteristically, one could always tell if Karen had been in the shop, because the shelves would be in perfect order! Karen also helped Emil during the annual IPMS shows in the Seattle area. She and Emil bravely fought her cancer together for several years. Wether it be the annual shop anniversary celebration/potluck, or when Emil was traveling and she ran the shop, customers were always treated as family by Karen. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
