Greeting folks,

I wanted to ask a question I know has been asked before or on the minds of other members.

What do you guys do with all your completed projects? I know many of you have completed so many projects that there is no way you could have all these wonderful build models and dioramas on display at your home. Unless you have a mansion LOL.

The top shelf of all the closets in the house belong to me.

I display some of them in glass cases on my desk at my office.

The others I have in glasses cases in my bedroom.

Got some display cases in my basement,hold around 100-110 models of different scales.Still got plenty of room.

I just put them on a shelf that rings my bedroom currently. I toss out some of my older, less well done builds from time to time. Until I have room and the money to get a case or more display boxes, the shelf is where the models languish.

The big display cabinets are nice -- the finished kits get displayed side by side, but in my case the main enemy is dust that gets in. Thus I go for acrylic cases for better protection.

Dioramas are boxed for transport to any shows. After they have been shown they are stored. Individual models and small vignettes are stored in tupperware and stackable plastic shoeboxes.
I have started kicking around the idea of deconstructing some of the older, larger dioramas and repainting the vehicles and figures and making smaller, different dios.

My finished works are kept in a display case in my living room. Once they have completed the show circuit I loan them out to a LHS to put in his display case. I also loan them out to display cases at the VA and local museums.

I keep some of Favourites, and I sell the rest, normally on ebay. It pays for my next build. I keep them until the show season finishes then move them on.

A lot of great ideas here. I like the idea of loaning to the LHS or get them on display at a museum or such. The option to sell is inviting as well to help fund a hobby that always increases in costs.

I must say however after seeing some of the work here,other forums,and shows I attend,I probably should just throw mine away.
