I have a masterpiece diorama base of a sea wall and pillbox. This may be a stupid question, but how do I paint the base? The base appears to be made of a plaster material. Do I use a primer and do I need to use specialty paints or are acrylics ok?

It will happily take most paints but the plaster will suck the paint dry quickly.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will prime it first and then use paint.
