I'm considering purchasing a new brush for hairline patterns. I am currently operating a Badger Renegade Krome. While I know that Iwata's Custom Micron is the best, I'm not looking to sell an organ to pay for it. I would like to keep the gravity fed and double action in the equation. Are there any hopefuls out there?

How fine are you trying to spray? Your Krome should do the job with its fine needle and tip attachments. SOTARS also will do the job and were built for such work at 1/3 of the price of a Micron.

My Krome shoots excellent fine lines. Thinning seems to be the key, that and balancing viscosity against air pressure.

Microns are great brushes but I know guys who swear by the SATA, and other who prefer a Steenbeck and so on. So it's a matter of preference, just like anything else.
