EDS now at it's adolescent age. This is the first time I tried drybrushing so you may see some imperfection.

More at my gallery. Thanks!

Hey, why didn't I finish first my previous kits?

I thought you were building interiors first. Thats a fine looking panel, Shonen. Ive seen some of the pics at your gallery too. Your drybrushing is doing fine. Keep it up!

Well, as far as I have seen in photos and a little research, the body is painted olive drab, interior flat black and the blades of the chopper with flat black also. I'll try to update you more when I reach home. (Nakiki-internet lang ako dito sa La Salle ). Better yet, scan me the painting guide and I may translate it for you

Flex & Shonen,

The paint used on US Army choppers is called "Helo Drab." Except for Extracolor (I think), no other model paint manufacturer came up with the hue. From the photos Ive seen it could either be dark olive drab, to somewhat greenish to somewhat brownish, depending on the degree of weathering. Ive also seen photos where one panel is dark greenish and the next panel is brownish.

Hope this helps.

Flex,

It would all depend upon your preference, really. The last time I painted a chopper helo drab I used Gunze's H309 Green as a starting point. I then added some H310 Brown and then some H12 Green and mixed it up to my desired color. I could be mistaken, but I think Helo Drab oxidizes to a brownish hue after prolonged exposure to sunlight.

A little bit since these colors are in english which uses Japanese charaters. For example US = blue, Jap = buru. As with others, I could only understand Hiragana, Katakana and a wee bit of Kanji.
