Flying out to Orlando on Sunday for a two week business trip.

Anything worth visiting in terms of model shops, military museums etc.

On my own so won't be bothering with theme parks - done NASA.

Will have the weekend to myself.

Is there anything worthwhile at Hobby Lobby - I see they have a 40% coupon?

Cheers,

Nigel

Hobby stores, pretty thin. There's Colonial Photo and Hobby on east Colonial Drive. Aviation related, there's Fantasy of Flight in Polk City just south of O town off I-4 but they're operating under a limited schedule but still rotate displays. There's the EAA museum at the Lakeland FL airport. Mainly general aviation but some military. New Smyrna Airport may have some warbirds there undergoing maintenance. Kissimmee used to have a warbird museum, don't know if it's still operating. Tico should be having their warbird airshow within the first two weeks of March. Google Valiant Air Command Museum and the exact dates should be on their website. It's located at the Titusville Exec airport.

Thanks, have tried East Colonial Photo and Hobby on a previous trip and was very disappointed with it.

Will look into the museums. Have been to Fantasy of Flight many years ago when on a family holiday - thought it had closed recently because the owner was finding it difficult to turn a profit

Cheers,

Nigel

Yes I saw that. Online they only show it in a package with a pistol grip filter and some inks/paints. I definitely don't want the inks/paints, the filter is okay but again I don't really want it.

Also the pound has been tumbling recently because of the announcement of the date for the EU referendum so $210 with 40% off will end up at around £105 only a little less than what you would have to pay in the UK.

Perhaps in-store they do the CS on its own which would be much more interesting.

Also the selection of models listed on the website is quite limited, and not interesting to me. Maybe they have more in-store.

Just arrived in the US a couple of hours ago. Will check out Hobby Lobby this week.

Cheers,

Nigel
