Hi all.
Ok this may be a daft question but I'm struggling to find photos on how some of the tools typically seen on German ww2 tanks were used. Shovels and axes and wires cutters yeah obvious. But theres normally also a pair of chunky S shaped pieces and one thats like a part elipse (sort of ox yoke shape). I assume these are for working on track links but not sure. Be interesting to do a dio with them in use.

I believe you're referring to the towing hooks. There was a C-shaped hook and an S-shaped hook. One end hooked into the towing eye on the vehicle and the other hooked into the end of a tow rope. Of course, it would be extremely helpful if you included pics of the parts in question.

Towing hooks makes sense. Cheers.
Did look to add a pic but have to upload it elsewhere first to create the link and photobucket which i normally use wouldnt play ball. Shame you cant just add a pic directly.

Depending on the vehicle you may also find a wooden jack block, barrel cleaning rods, prybar, fire extingusher, track tensioning tool, lug wrench, spanners etc. There are often many extra tools included in Dragon kits so if you have some add them to the spares box as they are handy for upgrading other brand kits such as Italeri or Zvezda.

Cheers gents.
Most of them are obvious it was those hooks that threw me. Had an idea they were used in changing tracks but as i say it was a daft question
Building a Bergepanzer so thinking now might pose it in use towing maybe.

Those hooks are still in common use today, I just used some yesterday!
