Don't know how there hasn't been a thread started about this yet, but there is less than two months before the AMPS National Convention takes place in Sumter, SC. The dates are April 7-9. The doors open at 2pm Thursday (the 7th).

Here's a link to the main AMPS website with all the needed info.
http://www.amps-armor.org/ampssite/conventions/showInfo.aspx?Page=Annouce&ShowID=60

Pre-registration is now open (until March 31st). Doing this will help save you time at the registration desk. Here's the link:

For those on a budget, I noticed the hospitality information section fails to mention the least expensive motel options. There's an Econo-lodge, and the Mt Vernon Inn on Broad St., both less than 2 miles from the convention. Both have rooms for around $50 a night. There's also a Motel 6 (further out on Broad St) about 8 miles from the show for around $40 a night.

You're quite welcome. I've already booked a room at the Mt Vernon Inn. I stayed there a couple years ago, and while being a no frills place, it was clean and quiet. I figured I'd take the chance that it hasn't changed. If not for that, and the deal I managed to work out with the reservation clerk there, I probably would have opted for the Motel 6.

Final bump. See you all there.**

I really enjoyed the show. I was quite impress with the quality of models there. It was my first time attending an event like this . It left me quite motivated to get back to work.

I took a lot of pictures and created a YouTube video of a lot of the models there. Take a look. I hope that you enjoy the pictures.

Thanks Tony!

Anyone knows if the seminars are available online somewhere? Could only attend two.

Cheers,

Christophe
