Hi everyone,
I am building a tank with a muddy chassis. I have my 3D mud in place. My next step will be streaking all of the road wheels. Before I assemble all of the road wheels and attach them to the chassis, I would like to get that peculiar, slightly shiny look that doesn't look like a general coating of a too-shiny material. I've been mulling it over in my head for a while and come to no conclusion. Please, does anyone hear have a method, or know of a good, specific tutorial?
I've watched a fair amount of mud tutorials, but they deal more with the 3D aspect and materials, and less with looking wet.
Thank you for reading,
Gary

I've had good luck with enamel wet products from Mig and AK. Go to www.scalehobbyist.com and type in 'wet' and you will see three handy items for a fair price.
I have used the AK item and it looks pretty good.
Good luck,

I would use satin varnish opposed to the flat (matt) surrounding area
