Hi,
I need to make two smal frames like the one in the drawing, the size is in mm.
the question is:
is it better to try and cut the shape from a piece of plasticard or to use varius plastic strip to make it.
whice way i can get more accurate results,i need two of the same

Thanks
Eran

IMHO - Since there is a fully enclosed 'hole' in the middle I would stay away from cutting it out of card stock. I'd cut two sets of four pieces and glue them together. It's simple straight forward no experimenting.

Couple of other things to think about on the other side - square punch and dye set..... use a pin vice and square out the hole....

Another thing you can try on the cut out side is to sandwich two pieces together and cut them out at the same time.

Shalom Eran,

What Scott was refering to was to make this out of four (4) seperate pieces. You will need to cut two long and two short for each piece. Hence, four (4) long and four (4) short total. I would recomend a jig that you can set the desired length or get the "Chopper Block" that has this setting.

Any other questions, just ask.

Dave

I think that it can be done quite easily cutting the frame off a single piece of plasticard or wood if the thickness is up to 1/2 mm... A suggestion to stay as more precise as possible, and if you've got a vector graphics program, is to print your frame on a self-adhesive label and attach it to the plasticard sheet and then cut it...

Scot,Dave
Thanks for the explanation, got it now and it's a good idea.

Fabio
Thanks for the advice thats what I did ,printed and glue the paper to the plastic, cutting the hole came out a little hard. but maybe it will pas because it's preety small.

I will try both methods again and use the better results

Thanks again
Eran
