Does anybody know if the groundcrew specialisms were in some way visible in the clothing like the various colours on the present aircraft carriers?
I know pilots sometime had gravity on their coats, but did the rest do this too? Coloured caps?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe my question is not quite clear!
Did members of the ground crews of the USAAF in the UK during the war have different colour shirts/caps or alike in order to make their functions clear? Like on todays aircraft carriers, where the ground crews wear pink, green, red etc.
I am modelling a marshal's jeep and want to add some colour.
Thanks in advance,
P.
